A skilled and savvy mediator, James brings a wealth of experience to his role. He has served as a state Judge, worked in several prestigious law firms, and clerked for a Federal Judge, the Honorable Timothy Baker, U.S. District Court, 7th Circuit, prior to joining Peace Talks. Along with his family law work, James has considerable legal and professional experience in Intellectual Property, Business, Entertainment, Privacy and Tax law. He is focused on revolutionizing the divorce process in America from the contentious, angry, expensive, dueling lawyer method all too common today, into a peaceful, less costly, civil and simpler approach through the Peace Talks method. A featured key-note speaker at national and international conferences and conventions, James strives to bring a fresh, new perspective to mediation and the legal system.

James holds both a J.D. and M.B.A. degrees and has a very diverse and unique background. Prior to his legal career he held senior executive positions in several international corporations and franchises, and co-owned with his wife, The 3MD Group, Inc., a management consulting business in Newport Beach, California. Before entering the business world, James was a professional musician performing in the showrooms in Las Vegas.

James goal in mediation is to provide each party with the opportunity to be heard and discuss openly and honestly each of the issues that must be worked out to complete the divorce process in a safe, calm and effective manner. The legal issues involved are carefully explained so that both parties clearly understand the laws affecting their divorce and giving them a framework in which to decide for themselves how to resolve them. His goal: for each couple to come to an acceptable resolution to their marriage and find the peace to move on with their lives.
